The Stuttgart Police Department is committed to serving and protecting the citizens and visitors of the City of Stuttgart. The mission of the Stuttgart Police Department includes:

  • The protection of life and property,
  • The preservation of the peace and suppression of disorder,
  • The prevention of crime and promotion of traffic safety,
  • The apprehension of offenders and the recovery of stolen property, and
  • The enforcement of city ordinances, state laws and federal laws within the framework of law and societal expectations.

The Stuttgart Police Department has a motivated and dedicated staff of 22 full-time officers, (6) 911 dispatchers, 1 animal control officer and 1 police secretary. Our hardworking men and women, enjoined in a partnership with the community it serves, shall provide efficient and professional police services in a fair and impartial manner, in order to reduce crime and maintain an excellent quality of life for everyone. Our 911 center serves as the emergency dispatch center for all of Arkansas County.
